My bake ignitor was not working so I went in and found the metal part connecting the ignitor to the oven had disintegrated. I put on a temporary connector and was testing to see if the ignitor would work. I turned the oven on bake but didn't realize the connector I had put on was touching the inside metal frame of the oven (yes, dumb move, I know). I heard a short sizzle and then a pop and realized something was wrong. I tried to use the touchpad to turn off the oven but it wouldn't respond. I unplugged it to turn it off and then plugged back in. The clock came on and it flashes the time but the rest of the touchpad doesn't work at all. I tried unplugging and replugging a few times. I'm betting I fried something but curious for any thoughts. Is it as easy as replacing the keypad or could it be something else? I'm in an apartment building so I can't access my fuse box but the clock works so I assume the fuse is ok.
