We just bought a house that came with a frigidaire side by side. Three days ago I started hearing a constant buzzing from the bottom of it. The next day same thing. Then yesterday I looked in the the fridge and freezer to find warm air blowing and everything defrosted. It was a mess. I tried cleaning the coils though they were not too dusty. I tried unplugging it and replugging it. Turned the breaker on and off. Flicking the inside door light switch five time in six seconds. I looked up some stuff on YouTube and read posts on potential problems. I removed the relay from the side of the compressor and put on a hard start, Coq 40, and the compressor isn't turning over. It is hot touch and the compressor fan is still humming. The freezer is blowing warm air. I really don't want to buy a new fridge if this can be fixed by myself. Any suggestions will be very helpful!!!:-)))

If you installed a hard start kit and the compressor did not start, it is likely faulty, provided the hard start kit was installed correctly.
