Hi,
I have an Amana Temp Assure BB20VPSE.
The evaporator fan doesn't come on. I have already replaced the evaporator fan and the defrost thermostat with new ones.
I have already done the following tests:
(1) The evaporator fan turns on when directly plugged into a power outlet. (2) When the fridge is plugged in, the evaporator fan doesn't come on but it is getting around 118V (3) The evaporator fan comes on when I short the fan delay bypass test plug (next to the FZ temperature control)
Thanks, Houman

The fan will not run until the defrost thermostat gets cold and closes. When you short the bypass plug, you are basically bypassing that thermostat. Are you allowing it to get cold? Are you sure you put the right thermostat in there?

Thanks a lot for your reply! I put the "Whirlpool Part# 10442409 Defrost Thermostat" in there.
I let the fridge cool and the evaporator fan is now on! (hopefully it will stay that way). Thanks a lot for your help!
