Hi, I have the above dryer which worked fine until we moved. We had to change the cord, from a 4 prong to a 3 prong to match the plug on the wall. I opened the door to the dryer to put clothes into it and felt a "tingle." Unsure if the dryer works, did not turn it on, after that encounter. Please help!
Thanks, Cheri Byrd

You probably have 115 volts wired to the frame of the dryer! The middle wire of the power cord goes to the middle connection at the back of the dryer, the other two wires go to the the outer terminals. Also, make sure the frame of the dryer is electrically connected to the middle terminal. Also. make sure the power ground wire from the outside power cable is connected to the cold water pipe in the basement.

Check the heating element, sometimes they break due to the move.

I would have never guessed the heating element, because the inside of the dryer heats....will take a look at this tomorrow. Thanks again for your help.

Also, a lint ball may have fallen down inside the filter shute, thus blocking the air flow.
