Well to start off, I wish I would have read about all the problems with the KitchenAid oven self-clean cycle BEFORE I ran it. But as I didn't I now have a problem with the bottom oven.
I ran self-clean on the top oven and everything was functioning afterwards. I then ran self-clean on the bottom oven. I was not home while the self-clean cycle was running so I do not know how long the cycle lasted. But when I did get home 'End' was on the display. So the display is still functioning. I then tried to turn the bottom oven on and found that it would not heat up. The temperature indicator for the bottom oven does not change from 'Lo'. I've tried both the regular settings and the convection settings and it will not heat up with either. The top oven is functioning and heating fine and I can open both ovens - no problems with the door lock thankfully.
Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Number 37 in the diagram is a thermal fuse that has opened. It is mounted on the back of the oven and does require that the oven be pulled out to access it. That part will need to be replaced and is available at the link below. You will need to open the lower oven door and remove the small Phillips screws on the inside of each trim piece, very near the bottom. Once removed, the bottom of the trim will pull out and down for removal, allowing access to the screws that secure the oven into the cabinet. Once those are removed, the oven will pull out. Have help, it is very heavy! Once you can access the back, you can remove the access panel from the lower oven and replace that thermal fuse.
