I have a GE Dishwasher QuietPower (6 yrs old) and suddenly, in the middle of the cycle it just stopped working and started beeping every 30 seconds. I followed troubleshooting steps but nothing. The only thing I accomplished was to stop the beeping after I turned off the breaker and then on after 10 seconds, but the Start light remained on and nothing happened. I clicked on the buttons and nothing, no sound no nothing.

I read through forums and it was suggested to replace the module control asm (part # WD21X10371) which I ordered through this website. I received it today and installed it. Everything went well and looked well when I turn the breaker on. The start button was lit as well as the Normal wash and the timer was showing 105. I thought that was it, so I loaded a few dishes and tried running a test wash, but to my disappointment, when I tried clicking the buttons nothing happened. No sound, no beeping, nothing. The lights remain lit but nothing. One thing to note is that when I close the door, no beeping sound either.

Any suggestions?

Number 803 in the diagram below is a door switch, there are 2 of them. Number 1003 is the cover that goes over those switches. Often times, that cover gets in the way of the switches closing properly. If both switches do not close, the unit will not run. I suspect you have an issue either with that cover or the door switches. If you have a meter to test with, you can test the switches but a visual inspection may tell you what you need to know. Let me know what you find.

It worked!!!

Sorry it took me while to respond. I've been too busy and didn't have time to work on the dishwasher.

Thank you for you suggestion. I troubleshoot the switches and one of them was broken, so I ordered both switches and replace them and my dishwasher is working great!

Thanks again!
