20 year old single built in electric oven. With a thermometer inside the oven the temp is actually 50 degrees cooler than the setting that is selected

That model number is not correct, but I suspect it is an electronic control with a digital readout that uses an electronic oven sensor. We can test that sensor if you have a meter to test resistance with. I will need the correct model number so I can get you the most accurate information, though.

correct model is keds100 This is a slide in oven/cooktop. This has no digital control. ....only knobs

Thank you, the issue was with the d, in the initial post it was a b. That thermostat is likely adjustable, but I cannot locate a picture to tell for certain. If you remove the knob, do you see a small hole in the center of the shaft? If so, you can use a long skinny screwdriver to reach the set screw at the back of the shaft to adjust the temperature. Counterclockwise will make the oven hotter. Make small adjustments until you get it dialed in. Let me know how it goes or if there is no hole for adjusting.
