Ok i can't seem to figure out what is causing this. After resetting the High temp Thermostat the dryer will run for say 20 minutes drying clothes then shuts the heat off and after checking trips the high temp thermo. I have checked ohms and continuity on the other thermo's and the ignitor and everything seems to check out. There are no clogs in any vent line or in the dryer. I have cleaned this thing in and out of Lint. Could this be tripping to early? Is there a thermostat that could be bad but have continuity? I need help on Breaking this down on where to start. I see the Gas Valve replacement is the most expensive. Oh and the Drive motor i just replaced this a month ago due to the cintrifugal switches wearing out. Thanks Jason

The overheating is almost always caused by air flow issues. Since you have made sure the vent is clear, the lint is cleaned from the machine and probably that the lint filter is clean and not plugged, we need to inspect the drum seals at the front and back of the drum. They help to direct the air across the burner and keep the hot air flowing as it should. Are the seals in good shape with no missing or torn areas?

Okay, if you remove the vent from the back of the unit and run it with it off, does is still trip that thermal?

Then I reset it and it runs for a while and heats then shuts off. I just tried measuring the ohms on the thermistor and I am not getting anything.

Well, the control may be calling for heat when it should not due to an improper signal from the thermistor. If it did not register, the thermistor is faulty.

Is the Thermistor directly what would control that? Yesterday I had a Ohm reading on it and nothing today. I have ran it a couple times resetting the High Thermo. I am running it on Manual and Medium to watch it. I have removed the access cover on the side to access the reset but I cant see how much the flame is coming on and off if any. Thanks for all the help. I am picking up a few parts for it tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't turn into the Gas Valve. Jason

If it is not getting the proper signal to the control, yes, it is bad.
