I replaced the door lock and timer switch assembly and machine worked well for three weeks. Currently machine runs at an abbreviated cycle time and will not spin at all. I have checked door lock and it tested good on an ohm meter, removed checked the hose and coin catch for the water pump and there were two items.I removed them and the machine still runs on a short cycle and no spin.Any advice would be greatly appreciated:confused:

Sorry to hear of your washer trouble, especially after the parts you just replaced! Does the washer tumble after it fills, any drum movement at all? Mounted to the base of the machine is the motor controller. On that board is a white fuse, near the edge of the board. Does that fuse read open or good?

Hi Ninja,
Thank you for answering my call for help. To answer your questions, first...the drum does tumble after it fills.the belt is sound as well.My meter has pooped out on me at the moment, so I cannot check the fuse. I will do that tomorrow.I also believe that I may have tested the door lock incorrectly.Could you please advise me as to the correct procedure? Again...Thanks so much!

A very easy test for the door lock is to set the machine to a spin setting and turn the machine on. Allow it to drain and run for about 3 minutes, then shut it off and attempt to open the door immediately. Does it open or delay about 90 seconds before unlocking?
