Please help. I am a military wife and I have no experience with repairs. :) The first sign of trouble was an unbalanced load. I removed some towels and repositioned the load and started it again. The circuit breaker tripped twice. I reset it, but my washer stopped working. I couldn't get it to do anything. It was full of clothes and water, and whatever I turned the cycle to it would just hum, but wouldn't do anything. I waited a day. I got the spin cycle to work so it eventually drained of water and I removed the soaking wet clothes. Then it seemed to work fine and I started a new load, then it stopped mid cycle. It is full of water and clothes but this time there is no hum, just silence.

If you open and close the lid, do you hear the lid switch clicking? Can you please double check that model number? The model tag should be under the lid at the back of the opening.

Yes, I can hear the lid click when I open and shut it. Inside the lid on the lower right corner is the number w10140920 D, however on a purple sticker on the lower left corner on the top of the washer it has W10270435 A

The model number will look like WTW1234ABC and is on a tag at the very back of the opening, under the lid.

Oh I am so sorry. WTW5300VW2. Now, if I turn it to the regular or rinse cycle it will work for a few minutes and then stop, and on Spin it just hums. So confused!

So it will not spin at all and will only wash for a few minutes? Any odd smell, like an electrical type odor?
