I have a Whirlpool Oven that is built into the counter, so it is difficult to replace. After about 20 minutes, the oven throws a F3 error code (meaning that there is a problem with the temperature sensor). Shortly thereafter, I get a F2 error saying that the oven is too hot. I tested the temperature probe and the resistance is good, but I replaced it anyway with part number 12001655. However, this did not help. Any ideas on what could be causing this to fail with a F3 after 20 minutes or so?

There is probably a problem with the control board.
Unfortunately it may be obsolete, give the parts people a call to confirm this.

There are companies out there that fix obsolete timers, just Google "appliance timer repair"
