My vertical washer dryer combo suffered two failures this week. Belt in the washer disintegrated - that's taken care of. When this happened, we were washing the bathroom carpet set (not rubber backed, but heavy). They had not been spun so they were heavy with water - I tossed them in the dryer setting it to the upper range of the automatic mode. I found them many hours later, still spinning in the dryer with the heat going, with the knob not advanced, and they were completely dry. If I now put the knob towards the very end of the automatic cycle, in the permanent press area, it will sometimes advance and complete - mostly it doesn't advance anymore though. In manual dry mode, it advances and completes just fine. Heat is working just fine. From searches here, it sounds like a sensor issue perhaps? Any help on this appreciated.
