Hi, I saw where someone else asked a similar question in here but he was getting some power to his circuit board and control panel, I'm not. I've already had to replace the control panel on the top, design flaw it collects steam and goes bad they told me, that was last year. The lights were all blinking then. Now the lights are all off and there is water in the unit but the soap didn't dispense so it shut off soon after filling. I read there is no fuse inside. I checked the fuse in my basement, it was fine, and took the bottom of the unit and checked the wires going into the unit (took the yellow screw caps off) and that was fine too. it seems to be somewhere between there and the first circuit board in the door. I'm not very electrically inclined but do know a little ways around stuff :-) I tried to find schematics but only found the one showing the motor taken apart that someone posted on the other guys thread. Anyone have any ideas or advice? Thank you in advance. This is my last Maytag product, I should have learned from my washing machine.

I am assuming that the unit is a MDB8959AWW2 and not a MDAB8959AWW2 as shown ii the Model Number.

Here are your parts
Parts for Maytag MDB8959AWW2 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com

Yes there is a thermal fuse (item 6 in section 02)
Check it with a meter.
If blown be sure to use the new harness that comes with the replacement fuse.

Your wiring diagram/tech sheet may be attached to the back of the kick plate.

Thank you Dan that was the problem... now I'm just a lil worried what caused it to blow. I did like you said and replaced the wire per instructions. Thank you again man.
