Have an Admiral refrigerator which is at least 10 yrs old. Freezer and refrigerator both stop cooling. Doesn't seem like motor is running but lights work, etc. Looked on back and wiring coming out of hole at top of fridge is frozen almost down to where it goes under into motor area. Thawed it and everything worked fine for a couple of days until same problem. Any suggestions?

Does the evaporator fan run, if not, you might have a bad defrost thermostat in the freezer, pull back freezer panel and check for heavy frost. If so defrost coils and replace the thermostat.
