This freezer was purchased in December of 2010. As per my repairman, the evaporator coils are leaking, and the freezer can not be repaired.

I do have an extended warranty through Home Depot which expires in 2015, and I am hoping they will replace the freezer, because a new one is not in my budget at the current time.

I was just wondering what could have damaged the coils or caused them to leak:confused:

Thank You!

I cannot say what would cause them to leak.

In any case I do not think it matters because it is not something that you could have caused so it should be covered under your warranty.
