The washer will cycle but not spin at all.
I have done some of the disassembly and nothing is burned on the control board and the fuse on the motor control board looks good.
I get the door lock light, the door is locked, but no spin. fill/drain seems to be fine. at the end of the cycle i get a Lr code on the display. motor never starts spinning up.
I do have the service instructions, but have no clue how to put this thing into diagnostic mode. I am assuming I need some disgnostic tool to connect to the control board to do this?
can anyone help me diagnose this thing? i see on neptunewaxmotors that this model is not suspect to the failing wax motor.
it is a mah5500bww, serial 74957112ZU
thx.
Helmut

Gene, Thx! What do you mean by posting tech sheets? i have the diagrams and diagnostic instcurions on paper that were in the cover for the control board.
the front latch assembly *seems* to work fine - the latch motor operates properly, the close switch operates properly (door closed light goes on and off, door locked light goes on and off as appropriate, machine stops if i open door, etc.). anything i can check on it?
thx again,
Helmut

Thank you for the tech sheets.
As I told you earlier, the first thing I would do is test the door latch switches as described on pages 14 & 15. Even if the door is locked and the indicator light is "on" some of the switches can be bad or the computer does not read them properly.
If there is nothing wrong then run the Service mode with all tests as described on the page 12 and post the results.
Gene.

Gene, how do i get it into service mode? there are no help and back buttons. i believe that is some diagnostic tool that has to be connected to the machine, no?

Helmut,
Where did you find this manual? I just found that on the page 5 it says MAH7500 and you said your washer is MAH5500. Thats why there is no such buttons on your washer. We came to the dead end.
