The rubber ring on the front panel (where the clothes go in) of my clothes washer has deceased. I'm assuming that the front panel, part #AP4432618 must be replaced to solve this problem. If so, how do I get it off?

BTW, the dryer is mounted on top of the washer.

You'll have to reach around the washer on the back and unscrew the top 3 screws holding the washer lid on. Unscrew the dryer mounting screws to release it......push both the dryer and washer lid if it has one back at the same time. Some units don't have the lid on the top of the washers if there older units and some do. Once you push it back about 8-12" you'll see the screws that hold that plastic touchpad on to the front. You'll need to take a screwdriver to the top of it and pop it up after you've removed the top screws and the screws inside the detergent dispensor that hold that front piece on.
Watch a couple of these video's they will probably show you how to remove the panel.
