My oven shows the F1-8 error code which would indicate that the "control" must be replaced. Which control? The touchpad or the ERC (clock)?
I read that that there is a way to determine which control should be replaced. First, disconnect the ribbon from the touchpad. Then, put the control panel back in place and plug in. If the F1 error code comes back, replace the ERC. If the F1 error code does not come back, replace the touch pad.
Well, I did this and I got the F1-7 (not the F1-8) error code with the touch pad ribbon disconnected. I am assuming this indicates that I should replace the ERC. Does that sound right? Looking for some confirmation before I spend a couple hundred bucks.
Thanks!

Thanks! Does anyone have an answer for this question?
