Hi: I replaced the lower burner in the bottom oven and it still does not heat up.
The broiler burner on top of the lower over works but the lower oven wont go over about 235 degrees because the bottom burner won't work even though I replaced it.
The upper over is a short oven, good for pizzas, bread etc, and it works just fine, plus all the burners on the cook top part work too.
The only thing that is a problem is the bottom burner. When I replaced it, I forgot to flip the breaker, and some sparks flew, but everything still worked like before except the new burner does not work.
Any thoughts on what the problem could be? It's not worked for a 2-3 years so I guess it's time I fixed it!!
Thank you, Paul

You could of burned out a portion of the main board or damaged the element that's why it's not working properly. Read the voltage going to the heat element in the wires going to it. Here's some video's to help you figure it out troubleshooting electric oven bake element - YouTube

Hi: I bought an ohm meter.
I tested the bottom burner that I recently bought and it came back with an ohm reading of 22.2 +/-.
I tested the lower oven sensor and got no reading at all, zilch, nothing. Is this the problem maybe?
The top burner of the lower oven has continued to work and does come on but it would only heat up to about 235 degrees. It the sensor was bad would the top burner do this?
I didn't see anything that told me how to measure the voltage going to the bottom heating element. I would guess holding the probes to the wires that the element is hooked to? If so, what should it read in ohms, or will it be volts?
Thanks for your help.
Paul
