hi,

I have a KDRP467KSS07 Whirlpool duel fuel range, that gave me the F 02 error. Found a few other threads with the same problem so i pulled the control board (Part number: AP3753720) but did NOT find continuity across P4-1 and P5-1, P5-2, P5-5.

I pulled the board out of the plastic housing and visually inspected. No apparent problems. I have scoured the internet and cant find any troubleshooting procedures past the continuity test.

So any idea what else could throw this F02 error?

Thanks,
Chris

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

The test points for the relay contacts are different than the ones you gave.

My appologies. My first post was incorrect. however, I checked the correct contacts on the board (P4-1 to (P5-1,P5-3, and P5-4)) none of the 3 tests showed continuity.

Thanks for the Tech sheet ill hold on to this.

Thanks,
Chris

Since the relays check out OK odds are that the control board is bad and is giving a false error.

Manufacturers do not give much detail/schematics of the boards so I do not know how they determine that an error has occurred.
If the error happens when the oven is running then it could be that one of the control relay contacts is pitted and is sticking closed once in a while.

Thanks Denman, I first saw the error when my wife was baking. oven appeared to be holding temperature fine then at some point the F02 error appeared and when the selector knob was turned back to reset the error stayed on the display. No ammount of know turning or button mashing helped...

I also suspect a glitchy relay, I had a few of our EE's here at work look at it and they said without the schematic to the board they couldnt be sure but likely one of the relays was going out.

I ordered a new board should be here tomorrow evening ill report back after i get it installed.

Thanks again, and Thanks for that tech sheet, hopefully i wont need it but might come in handy in the future :)
