Our dishwasher has recently developed a problem, if we turn on the heated dry button. The dishwasher stops and a error code of 7 flashes comes on. Until I reset the machine, it will not do anything. If I run it without the heated dry, on the normal cycle, it will run through the cycle and appears to run correctly. Is there a way to diagnose what component of the heating system is the problem? Is it the heating element it's self or the control board?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards, James

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool DU1145XTPBA Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. Unplug or flip the breaker off. Measure the high limit thermostat, should be 0 ohms at room temperature. Measure the heating element, should be 10 to 30 ohms. You may have to pull the unit forward so you can get at its connectors. Measure P3 to P6 at the control board, should be 0 to 30 ohms. If all OK then odds are that the control board is bad. |
