The spin cycle won't start automatically. Agitates and drains ok. Replaced lid switch and wasn't the problem. If I open the lid, hold down the switch and spin the barrel by hand it will start going and get up to speed. At that point if I close the lid it will continue and complete the spin cycle.

Thanks. Is it possible its a worn drive block? Or would it not spin at all then?

That is a possibility. You can inspect the top of the drive block by removing the agitator. If your agitator has a fabric softener dispenser, you will also need to remove the metal clip and plastic washer after removing the agitator.
