I have a Maytag Washer m# LAT9400ABW that keeps blowing it's fuse. It's happening during the tub fill. I replaced the 1amp fuse with a 2amp and it blew right away. I put a 3amp in just to try (says maximum 4amp) and it ran a load. the next load blew again during the fill. Im hoping that this is a pressure fill switch issue and not the timer but not exactly certain. Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks.

It's not the pressure switch nor likely the timer. Does it matter if you select hot versus cold? Could be a problem with the check switch which is part of the lid switch. The lid switch has a main switch and a check switch. The fuse circuit is designed to blow the fuse if the main switch sticks closed when you open the lid, thus rendering the washer unusable until you repair the lid switch. Yours is blowing during fill with lid closed but still could be a bad check switch. Disconnect the white wire from the lid switch. If it works fine now without blowing the fuse, the lid switch is bad. If it continues to blow, then there's a problem with the water valve circuit. I do not have the exact wiring diagram for your washer, can you provide a clear photo of it?
