I have a defrost problem on my fridge. I think the machine has a circuit board in stead of an defrost timer. How do you check/cycle the board. I need to do the trouble shooting to see if the board has gone bad. thanks noel

I have done the test for a bad defrost cuirct board. The defrost haeter is working. Where is the baffle located?? Baffle module? The freezer on the fridge is working but the fresh food side doesn'r quite get cold enough. Is there a opening at the bottom of the fresh food side so the cold air can circulate back into the freezer. I have blown the coils out. thanks again

I am assuming that when you did this that the evaporator coils were not clogged solid with ice/frost.
Just because the heater comes on does not mean that defrost is OK.
Sometimes you can force the defrost but the board does not program/schedule a defrost cycle automatically.

If you go to the Sears parts site they have actual part breakdowns.
Unfortunately they will not share theses with other parts vendors.
The baffle/diffuser is at the back of the control assembly in the fresh food [COLOR="Blue"]side. It is mechanically linked to the control knob/wheel.

Yes there should be a vent between the two sections lower down on the dividing wall.
