Does it stop somewhere or it's heating nonstop?
The model number you provided is incorrect. Verify and repost it, please.

Gene. I set it at 300--checked the temp. with an oven therm and it was 500.I turned it off. Model # says AO27-SB or DB S/N cooo5717-1595 Model code-73B11 Appliance manufacturing #P8554707S Hope you can help:)

Is it a single or a double oven? If it's a double oven, which oven is having a problem?

The problem with your oven is a bad oven thermostat. Unfortunately the part is no longer available.
