Hey Y'all, my Frigidaire just recently started making a Whirring Sound, for a lack of a better term. Basically it just isn't as quiet as it used to be. Everything at this point still comes out clean. I cleaned out the screens in the bottom and there wasn't much of anything in there. It appears to only make this whirring sound when water is being pumped through the system so I am not sure if the culprit could be the water pump or the motor or both if it is the same assembly as it appears to me that the only motor in this this is in fact the water pump. Am I correct in saying that? I found this on the site and I am thinking about buying one to see if it fixes it: Frigidaire 154844101 Motor Kit - AppliancePartsPros.comIf the problem could be something cheaper to fix then that would be awesome! Take the inlet hose off the unit and run it into a bucket and see if you get the same sounds. Check the inlvet valve for debris or clogging from the water heater rust or minerals. Check the hose that goes from the inlet valve to the side of the unit for debris or blockage. Fridgedaires are cheaply made and do make excessive noises naturally. The parts typically hang down underneath with no real good support so i tend to take blocks of wood or something and wedge it under the parts that are making that noise for customers if the part is good but just sagging.

OK Thanks! So from what it sounds like I have to remove the dish washer from the cabinet then, huh? I installed it years ago so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll work on that tomorrow.

Definitely there is something up with the motor. You might wanna call the repairmen and get it checked.,

I just wanted to post a reply in case it might help someone in the future.
The issue I was having was with the motor/pump assembly. I pulled it out of the dishwasher and put 120V on it. It was where the loud whirring sound was coming from, probably bad bearings if they exist in these motors. I purchased a new motor/pump assembly and it finally arrived yesterday. I also put 120V on it and it was nice and quiet.
I replaced the unit and the noise is now gone. I also had to replace the metal bracket as the existing one was rusted out from years of slow drips coming from the old motor/pump. Luckily there was no water damage to the floor underneath.
The pump ended up costing me about 65 bucks and the bracket cost me about 10 bucks so after about 100 bucks including shipping, I now have a new dishwasher!
