I've read some of the previous inquiries, and I seem to have some of the same issues. I replaced my ignitor several years ago, and it is glowing as normal and is definitely heating up. I would just like an opinion if my safety valve is going bad, as my oven doesn't always light. I do not ever hear or smell gas if it does not light. It seems that the valve just doesn't open after the ignitor has been on for a while. Can you help ?

Just wanted to post, I replaced my safety valve 5/5/09. My oven has lit every try since the installation this evening. I ordered the repair part from **********************************.com on Saturday and received it today. Great deal compared to other sites.
