When I close the top cover, the water level starts to fill up. After that nothing happen. There is weird noise like something is trying to crank up but it won't. What could it be? Thanks.

The most likely cause would be a broken lid switch. If that is working and you are actually hearing a low whine from the bottom front, I would suspect something stuck in the pump locking up the motor.

it sounds like there is something stuck in the pump,this would cause the washer not to drain,also cause a load on the motor which inturn would cause the strange noise.

My kenemore washer will not rinse spin or spin and the water just sit's there, what could be causing this problem and what will it cost to get it fix
