I have a Kenmore 90 series that I had to replace the clutch on. I determined it was the clutch partly due to information from this site, so thanks. The replacement of the clutch went well however I found this pin lying on the ground under the machine when I went to put everything back together and I cannot for the life of me figure out where it goes! I should have taken a picture with a tape measure beside it to better illustrate the size but its probably about 2-3 inches in length.

Any ideas?

Just toss it out, it's a shipping pin used to hold the suspension parts together. They are removed upon initial installation of the washer. There's usually two or three of them and there are plastic cups attached to the base assembly that they would normally drop into when the shipping strap is pulled to release the pins.
