GOOD MORNING! I am in need of help quick! LOL! I have a GE side by side that is giving me fits. The top half of both the refrigerator and the freezer are warm while the bottom half seems fairly cold. And the ice maker is not making ice. The motor and fan are both running from the sounds. I have checked the circuits in the basement - all are fine. The lights work in both as well. In March we replaced the motherboard - seemed to resolve the issue other than it would constantly defrost and freeze up the ice container solid.

I would like to resolve this myself and not have to resort to a appliance repairman's obnixious fees if it is something simple or something I can do with a little coaching.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Check the air returns, you might have poor air circulation. Also, measure the freezer temperature near the back wall.
