I have a Kenmore refrigerator with a top mount freezer. The freezer is not working. It is not even remotely cool. However, the refrigerator seems to be working. The products inside are cold but they are not as cold as they used to be. I have cleaned the coils and the area around the condenser. What are some other possible problems? Thank you for the help.

I went to the Sears parts site. They have actual parts breakdown drawings.
Unfortunately they do not share these with other vendors.

Is your compressor running?
You can usually hear it but also should be able to feel it vibrating.
If it is running and the freezer has no cooling at all then odds are that you have a sealed system problem and this will be an expensive repair as you need a pro. Usually it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit.

Your evaporator coils are built into the freezer floor.
Note that all cooling for the unit comes from the freezer's evaporator coils so I cannot explain why you have no freezer cooling but the fridge is cool.

Is the evaporator/freezer fan running?
