Hi, our 3yr old Whirlpool GX5SHDXVQ01 Refrig is very warm (and light still works), and freezer is very cold. The compressor ohm readings are 5 and 6.4 so I think the compressor is good. I replaced both the starter and capacitor but the compressor still does not start. Fan in compressor area runs constantly. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

Try checking the venting between the freezer and fresh food section you may have ice that's blocking the air flow from freezer to fresh food.

Thanks HumboldtRepairMan!!!!! We unplugged the refrig for a few days to thaw out any ice, and it must have been the ice build up that was clogging the cold air vent to the refrig. Plugged it back in and the compressor kicks on again and the air temp in both the refrig and freezer is back to normal again! Thank you!!!
