Started getting DE door error code after washer starts. The door is locked, the gasket is fine and nothing is caught in the door. The switch/latch appears to be fine. I think it could be the PCB assembly display, PCB assembly main, or the door lock switch assembly. I have unplugged the washer for five minutes and restarted the washer and I still get the code. I have started the washer when I got the code and one time the wash cycle said 4 hours and 22 minutes to complete the wash.

Door error code LG and Samsung are infamous for Door latch switch problems.......but the fact your washing machine is giving excessive cycle times sounds like a possibly main board issue.......Do yourself a favor......Hold the power button the whole time and unplug the unit for 15 seconds then plug the unit back still holding the power button for 15 seconds........try using the unit after that and see if it resets sometimes it's all it takes.......

With the door code DE the light in the washing machine is now coming on in the middle of the wash cycle and doesn't go out. Act like the door is open but it's locked.

Your model number is incomplete your unit should have a 10-15 digit model number including all alpha and numeric inside the door jam.........If your door lock has a hole where the door strike goes in then a push button tab a couple inches higher i'm suspecting half your door latch switch is bad i know they have some with the door light switch and door latch on the same door lock switch.....sounds like your lock/switch mechanism is bad

Did the 15 second reset and things seem to be working fine now. I'll see if it continues. Thanks

Didn't last long, still have DE error code coming up and it adds about 4 hours to wash cycle.
