When i attempted to do a load of laundry the dial would not let me change to any setting (regular wash, whites, etc) I powered the washer off. I attempted to turn it back on but all it does is beep quickly three times.
I already replaced the main touch control board ( the one that has all the buttons in the front section) I tried doing a diagnostic but I have no other lights etc on the screen. I did a continuity check with the door lock and it was fine. However i do not know how to check the pin switch.. nor do i feel the washer would NOT let me power on for a faulty pin switch. Thanks in advance for any ideas/help you may have.

Check to see if you have a belt switch on this unit...........also check to make sure you got voltage down to the motor............maytags have problems with their push button touchpads it's common. If you replaced the touchpad the only step after that is probably the main control behind it which works with the touchpad when you press the buttons.........Pin tests will sometimes show up good and actually be bad and button problems sometimes have nothing to do with the touchpad itself but a part of the main board circuitry having problems.

Check your tech sheet and follow the circuitry from your main board and door switch i bet there's something in that line that's out that you'll find if you follow the wiring path.......

I have power inside.. i have already tried following the wiring.. it's all connected, i was hoping it wasn't tho lol.. one thing i forgot to mention is when i try to use the "control lock" it DOES lock the panel (beeps when locked and unlocked) and it stops me from using the power button...which only beeps in the first place

if you're referring to the child proof control type locking of the keys more then likely it could be a main board or touchpad issue as stated before and also consider the fact that just because you bought a new board doesn't mean it's not defective i've seen brand new parts defective often........unfortunately the pin tests on the touchpad like i said before aren't always accurate i've replace both dishwasher and washing machine touchpads that showed they were good with pin tests.
