Hi and Thank you in advance for your help.
I have a Maytag mtb2195aew top freezer/bottom refridgerator with an ice maker. On Monday the refridgerator stopped getting cold and is now warm. Also, the ice maker stopped producing ice at the same time. The freezer is currently working and what ice is left in the ice maker tray is still frozen as individual ice cubes. Both temp controls are set to 7.
Ideas/Thoughts/Direction?
Thanks, Graham

Here are your parts includes a wiring diagram. Parts for Maytag MTB2195AEW Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comYou have to do some troubleshooting. Is the compressor running? You can usually hear it but should also be able to feel it vibrating. If it is running does it run all the time except during a defrost cycle? Is the evaporator/freezer fan running? Is the condenser/compressor fan running? What is a the actual temperature in the freezer? It should be 0 to 5 degrees. At higher temperatures up to freezing the ice cubes will stay frozen but the ice maker will not work as it reqires a colder temperature. |

Q3. Is the evaporator/freezer fan running? A - NO I would say that this is your problem. Check across it to see if it is getting 120 volts. If yes then replace it.
It should be on whenever the compressor and it's fan are on as they are wired in parallel. Since it is not running air is not being pulled through the evaporator coils and therefore is not cooling properly and that is why your temperature is high. |

Would that also have anything to do with the ice maker not producing ice and the freezer temp being higher than the 0 to 5 degrees?
