Bought a new home that came with Maytag appliances. After 2 years or so the 'More +' button that increases oven temperature stopped working. My wife tried pressing it again the other day and the left side of the inset oblong control panel separated from the rest of the panel that has the 4 dials controlling the stove top.

Not happy with this Maytag product. Selling our house so I need to fix this asap. Should I try taking the panel apart to see if the 'More +' button is stuck in a depressed position?

Thanks,
Brett

The control panel (keypad) and control board are a single part.
Sounds like it needs replacing.

OUCH! Thought that might be the case but was hoping for the best, an easy fix ... yet expecting the worst, like your observation. I'll try taking it apart to see if there is any chance that it may still just be that the 'More +' button is some how stuck in a depressed position (always the optimist!). If not, I'll bite the bullet and buy the keyboard.

Thanks for the reply.

Maytag touchpads on all their appliances have this problem it's always one or more buttons within time especially the up and down or start and stop buttons. Denman is right on the part suggestion. Just check all the connections at the board by unplugging them and replugging them back in and see if it goes away if not buy a new board.

Thanks for the follow-up info. I'll check the connections as you suggested. If that doesn't work I'll purchase the keypad.
