Hi and thanks for any help!!
I have a Kitchen Aid fridge, ksrg25fkwh01. The unit works fine and keeps both the freezer and fridge cold. However, it cycles on and off every 10 minutes like clock work. I can us it as a timer if needed!!
I have replaced the thermostat today thinking it was a bad one. No luck, still doing the same thing. I guess its possible that the replacement one was bad but thinking its not that likely. I know it can't be good on the compressor to keep going on and off like that all the time.
Also, I'd like to have a tech manual for it if anyone has a link to one??
Thanks for the help!

You might have a bad adaptive defrost board in this. Temporary drop the control panel and tap on different things when it stops. I assume everything stops running when it shuts off.

Isn't the adc and the thermostat the only things in the control panel? What could I expect if I were to tap on things? Should it restart immediately if there is a short in the board or the new thermostat?

You also have a connector in there that might have a bad pin, and yes, if something is sticking/burnt, it will start up.

It did not restart. Same thing, run for 10 min, off for 10 min. One thing I have noticed today though is that it went through the defrost cycle and went fine. Then when the unit started, there was no click when it started. It ran for about 20 minutes or so. Usually when it stops and starts, it will click, like a light switch has been turned on. Today I have only noticed it click one time, and that was when it shut off after running about 10 mins. I also took the back panel off and can feel the compressor running and getting warm. It almost feels a bit too warm, but I think its probably normal. I'm about to give up and think it is a case for a repair person. Thoughts??

Seems like a problem with the adaptive defrost board. Voltmeter would confirm.

Can you be more specific or a link to some instructions?
Thanks!

If you have a voltmeter, pull the schematic behind the front, kick panel and test for voltages at the adaptive defrost board.
