My washer will not agitate. I have replaced the agitator dogs with no luck. I had a repairman come and look and it and he said that it was the bottom base of the agitator-he said that it was worn. So, I bought a replacement from you all and as luck would have it, it still isn't working. Also, it doesn't sound right to me. Sounds like it is sick when it is trying to agitate. PLEASE HELP.
I bought this washer in 2010 and it is a direct drive washer. Thank you!!!

Does the unit go into a spin cycle?

Pop off the top of the unit and make sure the motor and drain pump are mounted and strapped correcting there should be 2 clamps holding the drain pump and 2 holding the motor on with 2 screws. There's what's called a motor coupling between the motor and gearcase those have a tendancy to break or wear check that. When you say it sounds sick that means nothing to a tech online without hearing the problem we can't even come close in telling you what it could be other then process of elimination.

Ok, thank you. I will try it and see what I can find. Also, what I meant by saying it "sounded sick" was that it just sounds very weak when it tries to agitate- like it doesn't have enough power or something isn't running. Thanks again and I will let you know.
