Hi,

Seems like there are some Thermador guys here, could use some help.

The 2 Xlo burners all of a sudden won't light, the regular ones are fine. I've replaced solenoids and a maybe a switch over the years, seems odd that both solenoids and/or both switches could die at once. I'm thinking simmer controller, but would like to prove before I blow some $$$.

Trying to follow the Thermador manual to troubleshoot this.

So far, I should have 120 VAC at igniter 1, 2 or A on the igniter module, I have 0 with respect to neutral (the simple burners 3 & 4, have 120 VAC).

Next step is to check sequenced channels 1, 2 and the SW line, it doesn't state, but i assume with respect to neutral as above? Correct? I have 0 VAC where I should have 120 VAC.

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks.

Just thinking, maybe a better question is how to troubleshoot the simmer controller. Still thinking it's the issue, but haven't proved it yet. Thanks again.

OK, been searching around and learned a lot. It appears that I should have 120 VAC coming from each potentiometer to the simmer control module. Specifically, I should have 120 V at solenoid 1, 2 and line-5V. I have ~5V at 1 and 2. I do have 120 V at line-5V.

Tried disconnecting/cleaning connectors and pot with cleaner, nothing. Seems odd that both would go out at once.

I have an early s/n rdfs30q, looks like this kit would do it. Do you guys know if these parts are OEM stuff?

Thanks
