My GE Dryer, model DBL333EB1WW, makes a thumping noise, about 100 thumps per minute. It does it when operating, whether full or empty. My initial searching indicated that there are rollers that should be replaced, but I'm not sure that I see them in a parts list. I took off the top and the belt appears to be in decent shape, and the drum doesn't appear to be wobbly. Any help would be appreciated - if this is a cheap repair, then fine, but I've already replaced 2 motors in this piece of junk and the next expensive repair is gonna send it to the scrap heap.
Thanks!
Scott

Here are your parts Parts for GE DBL333EB1WW Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comThis unit does not use rollers. It uses a a center drum bearing assembly, take a look at the Cabinet & Drum parts section, see the inset upper left of the parts breakdown. Could be that it is the problem or may be the fron drum support. Also check that the baffles in the drum are tight. |
