Frost is on back of freezer (see photo attachment- roughly the bottom 1/2 of the back of the compartment) freezer set to 5, maintaining about 5 degrees f, Fridge set to 7 (max) and is about 55 degrees.
Given the freezer has frost on the back of the compartment, perhaps the defrost function has gone bad? Is there anything I should know about removing the back freezer panel? I don't want to damage any wires or anything else when I remove it. I would like to avoid replacing something and finding the problem persists (well, that's probably a no brainer right?)

Thanks for any help in advance
