Granted, the model is almost 12 years old, but I was hoping it would last another couple of years because it just is not in my budget to replace it just yet. I went to make some tatter tots the other night and when I pushed "bake temp", nothing happened. Then I tried the other buttons and they all worked except for the broiler. Last week, the oven was acting up, the door kept locking (like it does when I do the self-cleaning) all by itself. Of course this is a terrible time of year for this to happen. I have an oven roaster and a crockpot, but you can't bake cookies in either of those. And wouldn't you know, I was going to bake some cookies this weekend.
Is there a way to fix this? Or do I need to *gulp* buy cookies this year and then buy a new oven in the spring?

Most likely the problem with your range is a bad control board. Unfortunately the part is no longer available and you, probably, have to think about new range.
