I have a Bosch dishwasher that is just over 1 year old. It will turn on and seems to cycle, but is not pumping any water in. I checked the water line, and found no problem. Any assistance is appreciated.

I just fixed ours this morning with the help of this great site. The drain pump would continue to run thinking it still had water in it and never got to the water fill stage. I had to remove the lower kick plate and lay on the floor and shine a flashlight in on the bottom left side where the float switch lives and with a bamboo skewer I was able to jiggle the little red float rod up and down a number of times until the pump stopped and the fill cycle began. Ours is the SHU3305 model but I think most Bosch dishwashers use the same float switch. I think some food crud found it's way in there because the filter basket wasn't properly put back into place recently. Hope your fix is as easy:)

Tried that, didn't seem to work. Maybe a relay?

Water supply or pump circulation problem? An easy way to check your water supply to your dishwasher: After 3 mins. from start up, open the door and visually check the bottom of your dishwasher.
Let me know.
If you have an insufficient amount of water, you'll want to replace the solenoid valve.
If you have a sufficient amount of water, the volute (intake) portion of the pump is most likely in need of some cleaning. The disposal is incorporated into the volute, see that it is clean and in proper working order. Be sure to inspect the pump impeller for necessary cleaning and in good condition. ( no cracks, etc.) Any restrictions in any of those parts of the pump will certainly drop your unit's internal water circulation pressure.
Remember to unplug your unit before working on it.

Without a wiring diagram I wouldn't know if there's a relay in the circuit. What does it do when you power it up? Does anything run or is it just dead quiet?

I did what Fixit Man did. I also moved the red float switch several times during the cycle just to make sure water was going to flow. Thanks for the advice.

I had a repair man here who looked at what I thought was a similar problem and told me my motor was leaking and I needed a new motor. Is he taking me?
