Hi,

My oven had an F30 code. I bought a temp sensor from appliance pros and replaced it (first I checked its resistance to be sure the part was working). The oven is still overheating...I turn it off before the error code comes on. From what I have read, the remaining suspects are my wire harness and control board. I believe I need to do some kind of test to figure out which it is. How do I figure out which part I need to replace? Would I test the resistance of the wires from my wire harness to the control board, as I tested the resistance of the temp sensor? And, would it also be at 1100 ohms, if all is well?

Thank you for your guidance. I really appreciate it.

Hello.

Trace the probe wires to the control board. Disconnect them from the control and check the resistance of the sensor together with harness. If the reading will be around 1100 ohms at room temperature, then most likely the control board is not accurate. The best if you can check the connection inside the sensor plug. Even if it shows a correct resistance, there still a chance that when the plug heats up the connection breaks up.

Hi Simon,

My control board appears to be behind my touch sensor, which is at the front of the oven. I removed the 4 screws underneath the plastic covering of the touch sensor (to access the screws I had to open the oven door). Now, the bottom of the touch sensor where the screws were moves off freely; however, I am unable to get the touch sensor removed so that I can access my control board because it is stuck at the top. I am unsure whether to keep trying to pull it out from the top to get it off, whether my glass range needs to be removed, or whether I need to try to get to my control board through the back of the oven. Please help.

Thank you very much.
