Hello all. I have taken this unit off the wall and cleaned it. I checked the hosing to be sure it was clear, and the vent to the outside...also clear. Additionally, I have run the dryer without the venting connected, and it blows strong and hot, so I know the blower and heating element are good.

Any other ideas of why it takes me 3-4 80 minute runs before the load is completely dry?

P.S. I've also tried half loads, and the issue remains.

Hi.

Did you run the dryer for a couple of loads with the vent hose disconnected?

Did it make any difference?

Did you clean the lint chute (it's #1 on the diagram)?

Check the front and the rear felt seals. If they are worn out the air will escape from the tumbler.

The weak operating thermostat will open prematurely causing the increase in the drying time.

The weak hi-limit thermostat will have the same effect.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Bulkhead Parts, Optional Parts (not Included) parts for Roper RED4440SQ0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.
