After replacing a clutch, because I was told that spin was very slow (and determined the clutch slipped), I put the whole thing back together and got total silence when I went to test it. No noise, no hum... nada. Immediately suspecting I forgot to make an electrical connection, I checked the wiring harness connection, it looked good. I tested the control by seeing if it created a hot wire at the motor when I turned it to start... a wire did get hot... so I figured the control was working.
I never personally tested the machine prior to the clutch replacement to see if everything else was normal, I just assumed the slow spin was the only issue. Any ideas what I might have done... if anything? Like a fuse?

You need to determine if the machine will spin by moving the timer to the spin secton and (after making sure the lid switch works) engaging the machine.
If it does not spin it would likely mean the timer has a problem. If it does spin it may mean the water level switch is the issue, or that possibly the connections to the water valve assembly came off while you were working on it.

The machine does not spin. It does nothing, total silence, no hum, no buzz. The timer is getting power... and as far as I know the timer worked perfectly prior to the clutch replacement

Check the lid switch, it may have been damaged during the repair.

I thought the lid switch only prevented the spin cycle. You can always fill the machine with the lid open, right?

A bad lid switch will stop it from draining after the wash cycle, but if you move the timer to the rinse cycle it will fill and agitate, then stop again.
I am not sure exactly what is happening with your machine, but a simple test with a meter for continuity will tell you if the lid switch is ok.
