Hello, i have just bought a new circular heating element for my fan oven. The element coils ( its a double coil) are seperated at the bottom by a small bracket attached to the oven, but where the two coils go in at the top they are actually touching. Ive checked out other new elements on ******** and lots of them come without brackets to hold the 2 coils apart and appear to touch

My question is this. Is it totally normal and safe for the 2 coils to touch or should i get a bracket to separate them completely?

Ive posted a pic to explain

many thanks, terry
