This dryer will not run (drum does not turn) but the heater is on.
In diagnostic mode I get error code F31.This error code I cannot find it anywhere. I already replaced thermal fuse ounce. Based on the wiring diagram the heater should not be on if the drive motor is not turning. I suspect a bad centrifugal motor switch. My question is: if its the centrifugal switch do I need to replace the motor or can I just replace the centri switch?

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool WED6200SW1 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com

You have to replace the motor (item 47 in the Cabinet Parts section).

Before ordering anything I would open the unit up and check the motor.
It could be that the motor is clogged solid with lint and the centrifugal mechanism in the motor is jammed in the activated position.

Also remove the blower wheel (reverse thread) from the motor shaft.
Often these are seized to the shaft and have to be destroyed, so you may also need a new blower.
