My GE Profile just developed a new problem. Fill a glass with water and when you pull it away the water doesn't shut off. All the online searching has only gotten me results of people that can't get water - I can't get it to stop... help!

Was thanked: 4 time(s) in 4 post(s)
Pull the refrigerator out of the wall and remove the bottom cover. Locate the water inlet valve. Depress the water dispenser lever for a few seconds and release it. If waster is still coming out, remove the wires from the waster dispenser solenoid (blue) at the water inlet valve.

If water would not stop (more likely), replace the water inlet valve.

If water will stop (less likely), you have to disassemble the dispenser for further troubleshooting.

- The water inlet valve Part number: WR57X10032

Great thanks... I'll take a look at those things sometime soon and hopefully impress my wife by fixing it!
