Have recently defrosted refrigerator to clear issue. Did not work. The bottom of freezer builds up with ice. You can hear loud knocking daily from refrigerator. Water will at times leak onto refrigerator shelf. Don't know if something is clogged in freezer. What do u think?

remove the back panel in the freezer. at the bottom of the coils you will find a foil trough. it will be frozen with ice. remove this ice. you will see a drain hole through the foil. this is stopped up with ice. must melt the ice in drain tube. the water will stop freezing in freezer bottom and no more water will drain into the ref.
